Branding Secrets Hidden in a Panda Costume

Hi there Reader,

I hope you're having a great week...

How much fun are weddings?

I had a funny thing happen to me two weeks ago…

My amazing friend, Ryan, got married.

His wedding was out of a storybook.

  • Amazing food
  • Beautiful weather
  • Better looking couple
  • Perfect Setting (Winery)
  • Tears, tears, and celebration galore

I’m having the time of my life on the dance floor when I see….

Someone dancing in a Panda Costume.

Did someone spike my drink?

15 minutes go bye, and I’m still confused:

  • WTF owns a Panda costume?
  • How did they bring it on a plane?
  • Where’d they’d hide it during the Ceremony?

One thing I can say for sure, though:

They stood out.

Standing Out

When I decided to leave my previous job to work as a Career Coach/Consultant, I realized:

The world is filled with Career Coaches and Consultants.

A lot of them suck.

Most are “pretty good”…

Very few really distinguish themselves.

So many are competing for the same clients…

Because they offer the same solutions.

I didn’t want to suck.

I didn’t want to be “pretty good”.

I wanted to work towards being a Category of 1…

So - I started building my skills…

I studied:

  • Web Design
  • Copywriting
  • Email Funnels
  • Audience Growth
  • Landing Page Optimization
  • Sales: Cold vs. Warm Leads
  • Personal Branding on Social Media

There countless people who are better at all of these things…

And that’s OK.

I knew that the intersection of my:

  • Skillset
  • Specific Industry Knowledge
  • Coaching/Consulting Background

Would help me stand out.

And offer more unique/comprehensive solutions....

In a sea of dancing people, I wanted to be a Panda…

Which brings me to you…

What are the biggest things you’re struggling with in your Career RIGHT NOW?

It helps me shape better content.

Another Amazing Person to Learn From

Speaking of standing out, here's a clip from my (new) friend Jon on learning about psychology.

Love this guy, and his reading list...
